Overview
This was a three stop tour to generate buzz leading up to Riot Games most coveted event- the Valorant Champions Tour held at The Forum. To generate buzz, Riot took over three locations in LA and transformed them into locations found only in the Valorant video game.
This was heavy world building, and large scale coordination with hundreds of fans waiting in line to get in at each location.
The Row: We took over a main alley of The ROW in DTLA to create a colorful bazaar complete with challenges based in the world of the game- Archery, Frag Toss, Darts all yielded custom prizes for winners. We partnered with Smorgasborg LA to bring people the finest foods while they shot their shot.
Giant Robot: A gamer secret spot, we completely took over this art gallery and transformed it into a custom merch workshop for fans. We built a store that exists in the Valorant game. Fans could create their own custom Valorant merch and add to their collection with limited edition collectibles from the game.
Love Hour: The tour ended in the largest world build at popular K - Town burger spot, Love Hour. We recreated a marketplace that existed in the game and opened each booth to the public. We painted a 40’ mural as a backdrop to our marketplace that made it feel truly in-world. Guests could get custom air brush tees, boba in LTE bear cups, play games, and win prizes.
The Truck: At every location we brought along our 1:1 recreation of a truck that exists in the game, complete down to every detail outside. Inside, the truck served as a DJ booth and watch screen, showcasing clips from the game and keeping the vibes golden at each location. The geniuses at SCPS did not miss a single detail, and this truck was actually drive-able and was noticed around town by fans across Los Angeles.
